Why Was It Cancelled? This animated sci fi series did not make it into the Nielsen Streaming Rankings during is first season run, but it did receive very high marks from critics and viewers, currently holding a 100% Fresh Rating and 96% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes. While the first season did tell a complete story, executive producers Sean Buckelew and James Merrill have indicated that they have mapped out two more seasons for the show.
Max decided to cancel the show after one season as Warner Bros. Discovery continues with its cost-cutting efforts, but Netflix must have been paying attention to the positive buzz because they picked it up for an encore run (the first season will also remain on Max for now). It did not make it into the Netflix Top 10 once released on that service, and co-creator Joe Bennett has confirmed that it will not continue to a second season there. The show did get an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Animated Program, and the creators have put together a Season 2 pitch to help shop it around to other venues. Fans should definitely take the opportunity to get the show trending on the social networks and bring it more attention in an attempt to help with those efforts.
