Why Was It Cancelled? The cancellation of this show appears to be part of a purge by Netflix of its Marvel shows. Iron Fist and Luke Cage were previously cancelled by the streaming service, and Daredevil followed those two. Word is that the show’s viewership was down notably in its third season, but with the other two Marvel superhero shows already axed, it appears that Netflix was ready to part ways with the shows. Marvel has indicated that the Daredevil character could show up again, possibly in the upcoming seasons of The Punisher and/or Jessica Jones. And there is also a possibility that the show could shift to the upcoming Disney+ streaming service (though it would probably have to tone down it R-rated approach). Fans are currently lobbying to save the show in hopes that Disney+, ABC, Hulu, or another venue will pick it up for a fourth season and more.
