Why Was It Cancelled? While the same-day ratings for this show were not great, it performed very well in digital and delayed which the premium cable networks pay more attention to. It was designed as a limited series, but creator Misha Green had ideas for a second season (more on that at this link). But HBO decided to end this one after a single season despite critical acclaim and a fair amount of attention during awards season.
