Status: This animated Marvel entry did not make it into the Nielsen Streaming Rankings for the week of its Season 2 premiere. It has not received much promotion from Hulu and it is not directly tied to the MCU, so the show has not drawn much attention. Co-creator Josh Gordon claimed in an interview that the second season ends with a “certain symmetry”, but that it also sets up the possibility for the show to continue.
We didn’t want to wrap it up. In its own way, it does slightly wrap it up in a certain symmetry, but we did want to leave the door open, either for future episodes, or for the audience to kind of go somewhere. We didn’t want to wrap it up too neatly, but we needed to end it on a kind of big note. So, we always knew that that was going to be the end of the season, we kind of knew that that was going to be the end of the season even as early as season 1. So we’ve really had a lot of time to kind of construct and think about the arcs of season 2. So yeah, we were thrilled that Marvel and Hulu let us go to such an extreme place with it, and yeah, we can’t wait to hear what audiences think of it.
Fans should certainly stage a Call to Action for this one on the social networks to bring it some attention if they want it to stick around for a third season or more.
