Fall 2024 Sci Fi and Fantasy TV Preview

Fall is almost upon us, and that brings with it a new television season. Back in the days when the broadcast networks captured most of the audience, September was a big month with all of the new and returning shows. But now that the streaming services dominate, this time of year is not as big of a deal, especially for sci fi TV seeing as there is very little of that on the old-school networks of late. But there are still some shows of interest on those channels plus plenty of selections from the streamers (and a few cable nets) through the end of the year. I actually count August as the beginning of the season, so some of these shows have already had their premieres. More are on the way and I expect some additions to the schedule over the next few months.

Below are all the genre entries I am currently tracking for the Fall season (which is less than last fall, more on that in an upcoming post), and you can watch for updates at our Sci Fi TV Premieres Page. You can also keep up with the weekly schedule at this link, and be sure to follow our Cancellation Watch posts and our Twitter and Mastodon accounts for updates and breaking news as the season progresses. Links are to the show pages on this site with more info, trailers, and status updates.
