Wolf Pack Has Been Cancelled by Paramount+ and Will Not Continue to a Second Season

The Paramount+ werewolf drama Wolf Pack will not continue past its first season as it has been cancelled by the streamer. That series premiered one year ago, and even though it did not receive an official renewal, work had begun on the second season with production set to begin this February. But Paramount+ has brought that to an end with series creator Jeff Davis informing the cast of the cancellation last week. The streamer has been going through cost-cutting measures (which includes mass layoffs), and there are rumors of a merger between Warner Bros. Discovery and Paramount which could lead to Max and Paramount+ coming together or one of the services getting put on the chopping block. Wolf Pack did not place in the Nielsen Streaming Rankings during its first season run, but word is that it still performed relatively well for a Paramount+ original. There is no word at this point on whether the show will be shopped around to other venues. There were rumors that this one was a spin-off from Jeff Davis’ other werewolf series Teen Wolf, but the two are not connected.

This cancellation counts back to the 2022-23 season and brings that score to 44 cancelled and ending sci fi and fantasy entries (48% of shows tracked) vs. 44 renewed (48%). There are still three shows from last season waiting for word on their fates. You can see the breakdown of the numbers and the full list of shows for the prior and current seasons at our Cancellation Watch Page.

Wolf Pack follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are changed forever when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature and brings together several people who must unravel the secret that connects them. It stars Armani Jackson, Bella Shepard, Chloe Rose Robertson, Tyler Lawrence Gray, Rodrigo Santoro, and Sarah Michelle Gellar and it is based on the Wolf Pack novels by Edo van Belkom.
