Sci Fi TV Highlights: A look at the upcoming schedule of sci fi and fantasy shows as well as recent news and/or trailers of note.
Sci Fi TV Premieres This Week:
American Horror Story (FX): In AHS: Delicate, after multiple failed attempts of IVF, actress Anna Victoria Alcott wants nothing more than to start a family. As the buzz around her recent film grows, she fears that something may be targeting her – and her pursuit of motherhood. Season 12 premieres Wednesday at 10 PM EST.
Krapopolis (FOX): Krapopolis is set in a mythical ancient Greece-inspired city called Krapopolis, and it follows the flawed family of humans, gods, and monsters trying to run one of the world’s first cities without killing each other. Premieres Sunday at 8:30 PM EST.
Schedule Notes:
I missed the premiere of The Swarm on The CW last week because I have been paying very little attention to that network these days seeing as it has largely moved away from scripted programming this Fall. That German-made series began its eight-episode run last Tuesday and the first episode is available for viewing on the network’s website and app. Also last week, Apple TV+’s Strange Planet wrapped up its first season. There has been no word on a second season of that one yet. Below are the listings for the current week, and you can see all of the premieres for September and beyond at this link. The two-week view of the schedule is available here.

Sci Fi TV News
A new adventure is in the works in the Buffy, The Vampire Slayer universe in audio format, and it will focus on the vampire with a soul Spike. Among the original actors returning for the nine-episode Slayers: A Buffyverse Story are James Marsters, Charisma Carpenter, Anthony Head, Juliet Landau, Emma Caulfield, Amber Benson, James Charles Leary, and Danny Strong. Following is the synopsis:
The upcoming scripted audio original picks up 10 years after the events of the final episode of ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer.’ Since then, Spike has gone deep undercover in Los Angeles, convincing the forces of darkness that he’s back to his evil ways. When his cover is compromised by sixteen-year-old Indira Nunnally, Spike finds himself on baby-slayer-sitting duty once more. While he attempts to track down a watcher for his eager new protégé, their paths collide with the veteran Slayer of a parallel reality where Buffy Summers never existed…a reality where Cordelia Chase is the one-and-only Slayer. She needs Spike’s help with a classic big bad terrorizing her world…his old flame, Drusilla.
Slayers: A Buffyverse Story will be available from Audible on October 12th.
In other news, the long-in-the-works Disney+ series focusing on Danny Glover’s Lando Calrissian will now be a movie. That project initially started as a film but was changed to a television series after the Solo movie performed poorly at the Box Office . . . In scheduling news, the fourth season of Apple TV+’s For All Mankind has received a release date of November 10th. You can see the teaser for that below.

Sci Fi TV Trailers
For All Mankind (Apple TV+): Rocketing into the new millennium in the eight years since Season 3, Happy Valley has rapidly expanded its footprint on Mars by turning former foes into partners. Now 2003, the focus of the space program has turned to the capture and mining of extremely valuable, mineral-rich asteroids that could change the future of both Earth and Mars. But simmering tensions between the residents of the now-sprawling international base threaten to undo everything they are working towards. Premieres November 10th.
