Sci Fi TV Highlights: Premieres for The Walking Dead Daryl Dixon, Star Trek Lower Decks S4, and The Changeling

A look at the upcoming schedule of sci fi and fantasy shows as well as recent news and/or trailers of note.

Sci Fi TV Premieres This Week

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon (AMC): Daryl Dixon sets out to find Rick Grimes but somehow gets carried across the ocean to France. He journeys across that country encountering the survivors there while also trying to find a way back home. Premieres Sunday at 9 PM EST.

Star Trek: Lower Decks (Paramount+): Boldly going where no man has gone before, but lower. Star Trek: Lower Decks is a half-hour animated comedy which focuses on the support crew who serve on one of Starfleet’s least important ships. Season 4 premieres on Thursday.

The Changeling (Apple TV+): Based on the acclaimed bestselling book of the same name by Victor LaValle, “The Changeling” is a fairytale for grown-ups. A horror story, a parenthood fable and a perilous odyssey through a New York City you didn’t know existed. Premieres on Friday.

Schedule Notes:

The one-and-a-half-hour premiere of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will be simulcast on BBC America, IFC, and SundanceTV this coming Sunday. The first season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will begin an encore run on CBS this Friday with back-to-back episodes. It is unclear at this point if the network plans on airing all ten eps from Season 1, but that seems possible because they have space to fill on the schedule due to the strike-impacted season.
