A look at the upcoming schedule of sci fi and fantasy shows as well as recent news and/or trailers of note.
Sci Fi TV News
Star Trek: Prodigy executive producer Aaron J. Waltke put out the following tweet to update fans on the status of that show’s second season:
For those asking where we are with Season 2 of #StarTrekProdigy:
– We are continuing production on the final episodes now.
– Writing, voice recording, and animatics for all 20 are completed. Animation nearly so.
– Episodes 201 – 210 are finished / locked. The rest, by January.

Prodigy has been cancelled by Paramount+ and removed from streaming, but the show is being shopped around to other venues . . . Netflix has set October 12th as the premiere date for the mini-series The Fall of the House of Usher which comes from Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House) . . . Apple TV+ has announced September 8th as the premiere date for its dark adult fantasy The Changeling (you can see the trailer for that below) . . . The CW has indicated that the fourth season of Superman & Lois has been moved “further and further into 2024” due to the strikes.

Schedule Notes
There are no premieres or finales this week (and the schedule will be mostly quiet throughout August) but the animated movie Babylon 5: The Road Home will be available on VOD and on physical media this Tuesday. Following is the synopsis for that:
Travel across the galaxy with John Sheridan as he unexpectedly finds himself transported through multiple timelines and alternate realities in a quest to find his way back home. Along the way he reunites with some familiar faces, while discovering cosmic new revelations about the history, purpose, and meaning of the Universe.
I have made a change to the listings to move the streaming shows from their own section so that they are listed on the day that they drop new episodes. This is because very soon we will have next to no linear network shows on the schedule and it will remain that way throughout Fall. Below are the listings for the current week, and you can see all of the premieres for August and beyond at this link.
