Sci Fi TV Highlights: Premiere for The Witcher Season 3, Troubles at Paramount+, and More

Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Shows Premiering This Week


The Witcher (Netflix): Destiny brought them together. Dangerous forces are trying to tear them apart. Geralt and Yennefer fight to keep Ciri safe as war brews on the Continent. The first half of Season 3 will be available for streaming on Thursday.

Schedule Notes:

The second half of Season 3 of The Witcher will be released on July 27th and the show has been renewed for a fourth season.  On Tuesday, Superman & Lois will have its season finale on The CW and that one has been renewed for a fourth year.  Leading out from that, the cancelled Gotham Knights will have its series finale.  On Friday, Silo will have its season finale on Apple TV+ and it has been renewed for a second season.

Star Trek: Prodigy has been cancelled by Paramount+ (along with three non-genre) shows as that streaming service appears to be struggling and its future could be in doubt . . . Apple TV+ has cancelled production on Sam Esmail’s Metropolis TV series because of the writers’ strike.
