The live-action DC superhero shows Titans and Doom Patrol will both be coming to an end when their respective fourth seasons wrap up on HBO Max. The first half of the fourth season of each show streamed in Fall and the shows will resume with their final episodes in Spring or Summer. Both started out on the DC Universe streaming service then moved over to HBO Max during their second seasons when DCU moved away from streaming. Word is that the shows performed well for HBO Max, but no numbers have been shared and neither showed up in the Nielsen Top 10 this past Fall. Allegedly, the showrunners planned for the shows to end at this point, and James Gunn has commented that this has nothing to do with the changes that he has in store for DC properties. Both Titans and Doom Patrol existed in their own universe (with hints that The CW’s Stargirl was linked) and were not tied to the DCEU films or the Arrow-verse shows. Both will get what amounts to an extended run for a streaming original these days with four seasons and 49 episodes for Titans and 46 eps for Doom Patrol. Fans certainly would have preferred a fifth season from each, but the economics of streaming originals has typically confined them to three to four seasons at most. Both will at least have the opportunity to wrap up their storylines, something not afforded to shows like Raised by Wolves (HBO Max) and Warrior Nun (Netflix) which were cancelled too soon.
Titans follows a group of young heroes who join forces to fight against evil and the team includes Nightwing, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, Red Hood, and more. It stars Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Ryan Potter, Curran Walters, and Conor Leslie and is based on the DC Comics characters.
Doom Patrol focuses on a misfit group of superheroes–which includes Crazy Jane, Elasti-Girl, Negative Man, Cyborg, and Robotman–brought together by a man known as the Chief to prove that they can make a difference in the world. It stars Diane Guerrero, April Bowlby, Matt Bomer, Brendan Fraser, Timothy Dalton, and Alan Tudyk and is based on the DC comic book of the same name.

Didn’t Titans and Doom Patrol make, albeit brief, appearances during the Crisis on Infinite Earths event, tying them into the all encompassed universe?
Yes they did, but then they were erased from existence, so I’m not sure they count as being in the same universe.
WBD and James Gunn absolutely suck! So far all they’ve done was cancel cancel and cancel and piss everyone off.
I’m not sure Gunn would be to blame here. More likely it’s just basic economics – these things are costly to produce and the studios are forced to come to grips with the fact that it’s not likely making them money.
