Digital Ratings: Andor Enters the Nielsen Rankings, The Midnight Club Improves in the Netflix Chart, and More

Nielsen Streaming Top 10

The new Disney+ Star Wars series Andor entered into the Nielsen Streaming Rankings for originals for the week of September 19th to 25th. That was its premiere week and it debuted at Number 6 while tallying up an estimated 624 million minutes of viewing for its first three episodes. That show has already been renewed for a second season. Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (Renewed) slipped one slot to Number 3 with 977 million minutes of viewing while Fate: The Winx Saga (Renewal Possible) improved to Number 4 with 675 million minutes. Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale (Renewed) slipped to Number 8 with 535 million minutes, and Netflix’s Stranger Things (Renewed) slipped to the edge of the charts at Number 10 after eighteen weeks. Disney+’s She-Hulk (Renewal Possible) dropped out for the week as did Netflix’s The Imperfects (Renewal Possible).

In the Top 10 for acquired shows, HBO’s House of the Dragon held at the Number 1 slot and improved to one billion minutes viewed. Game of Thrones slipped to Number 5 with 586 million minutes. Following are all the sci fi and fantasy TV shows on the streaming charts for the week (the number in parenthesis is the prior week rank):

Netflix Top 10:

There were only two genre entries in the Netflix Top 10 for English language shows for the week of October 10th to 16th. The Midnight Club (Renewal Possible) improved to Number 3 in its second week with 49.9 million hours viewed. Fate: The Winx Saga (Renewal Possible) slipped to Number 9 in its fifth week with just under ten million hours viewed. In the Top 10 Non-English language shows, Alchemy of Souls (Renewal Possible) slipped to Number 7 in its fourteenth week on the charts while the South Korean series Glitch (Renewal Possible) debuted at Number 8.  Following are all the sci fi and fantasy TV shows on the Netflix charts for the week (the number in parenthesis is the prior week rank):

    And tv show Glitch is South Korean production, Australian one is from 2015
