Nielsen Streaming Top 10
HBO’s House of the Dragon made it into the Nielsen Streaming Rankings for its second full week of release (August 22nd to 28th), though it was in the list for acquired shows. Apparently Nielsen considers that one to be an HBO original that was “acquired” by HBO Max, and it started off at Number 3 with an estimated 741 million minutes viewed. Interestingly enough, Game of Thrones topped that chart for the week with 909 million minutes of viewing (so much for all those people who swore never to watch the show again), but then it has a lot more episodes driving viewership (73 total). The viewership for House of the Dragon was for only two episodes and the second of those was only available at the very end of the week, so those are impressive per episode numbers. That show has already been renewed for a second season.
In the Top 10 for originals, Disney+’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law made it into the charts in its second week of release. That one entered near the bottom at Number 9 with 390 million minutes of viewing. There has been no word on a second season yet. Netflix’s The Sandman dropped to Number 3 with 691 million minutes of viewing for its fourth week. Fans are currently getting the #RenewSandman hashtag trending on the social networks to convince the streamer to bring that one back for a second season. Stranger Things held at Number 2 and it will be returning for its fifth and final season next year. Following are all the sci fi and fantasy TV shows on the streaming charts for the week (the number in parenthesis is the prior week rank):

Netflix Top 10:
Fate: The Winx Saga returned for its second season the week of September 12th to 18th and placed at Number 2 in the Netflix Top 10 for English Language shows with 48.7 million hours of viewing. If that one holds around that level for the next few weeks, it could get a third-season nod. The Imperfects slipped one slot to Number 4 with 35 million hours viewed which may be enough to keep it on track for a second season renewal. Stranger Things Season 4 and The Sandman slipped to Number 9 and 10 respectively that week. In the Top 10 for Non-English Language shows, the Anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners made its debut at Number 8 with fifteen million hours viewers while Alchemy of Souls slipped down to Number 10 with 11 million hours of viewing. Following are all the sci fi and fantasy TV shows on the Netflix charts for the week (the number in parenthesis is the prior week rank):
