Linear Ratings Results of Interest:
On Tuesday, FX’s supernatural mockumentary What We Do in the Shadows returned for its fourth season with a two-episode season premiere and pulled a 0.17 rating based on same-day viewing for the 18-49 demographic with 445K total viewers. That is down just a tick from its Season 3 premiere in Fall 2021, but up from the full season average. And those are good numbers for a scripted show on the basic cable networks these days, probably explaining why this one has already been renewed through its sixth season.
Over on The CW, cancelled Tom Swift slipped to a 0.02 rating with 247K total viewers with only a repeat of Superman & Lois as its lead-in. On Freeform, Motherland Fort Salem posted a 0.02 rating with 70K total viewers as it airs out its final season.
On Sunday, HBO’s Westworld slipped to a 0.04 rating in the demo with 312K total viewers as the linear viewing for this show remains low in its fifth season. Next week we should see if it has managed to register in digital viewing with encore runs on HBO Max.
