Nielsen Streaming Top 10
Russian Doll made it into the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 for originals for the week of April 18th to 24th. It landed at the Number 8 slot for the premiere of its second season with an estimated 308 million minutes of viewing. Interestingly enough, that show did not rank in the Netflix Top 10 for that week, though Nielsen combines together viewing for all seasons of a show whereas Netflix breaks them out. Disney+’s Moon Knight slipped one slot to Number 4 with 630 million minutes of viewing. And Amazon’s Outer Range held at Number 7 for a second week with 384 million minutes of viewing. The second season of Pacific Rim: The Black had its premiere on Netflix that week, but it did not break into the rankings. In the Top 10 for acquired shows, Supernatural dropped out for the first time in several months, though I expect it will be back before long. Following are all the sci fi and fantasy TV shows on the streaming charts for the week (the number in parenthesis is the prior week rank):

Linear Ratings Results of Interest:
On Sunday, AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead slipped to a 0.11 rating based on same-day viewing for the 18-49 demographic with 658K total viewers. That show continues to see its viewership slide and it is possible that its upcoming eighth season could be its last.
Over on HBO, The Time Traveler’s Wife did not make it into the Cable Top 150 for its second episode which is not a good sign. It slipped to a 0.02 rating with 224K total viewers, and even though the premium cable nets do not pay as much attention to the same-day numbers, those are not good viewership stats.
On Wednesday, The Flash ticked up to a 0.12 rating with 550K total viewers while Kung Fu also ticked up to a 0.08 rating with 453K total viewers. Both shows are among the few that have been renewed by The CW this season.

Netflix Top 10
For the eleventh week in a row, there were no genre entries in the Netflix Top 10 for English Language shows for the week of May 9th through 15th. Love Death + Robots could break that streak, though, as it had its premiere last week. In the Top 10 for Non-English Language shows, the Korean fantasy series The Sound of Magic improved to Number 4 and drew in 16.9 million total hours of viewing. And the Korean supernatural drama Tomorrow had its premiere at Number 9 with 9.7 million hours of viewing.
