Ratings Results of Interest
On Sunday, AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead returned for the second half of its seventh season and only managed a 0.15 rating based on same-day viewing for the 18-49 demographic with 835K total viewers. That is even with its mid-season finale, but a ratings low point overall for the show. It has been renewed for an eighth season, but that could be its last.
Over on Starz, Shining Vale wrapped up its first season and held at a 0.02 rating with 117K total viewers. It will get a boost from digital viewing and encore runs, but that show is not drawing much in the way of viewership and may not survive to a second season.
On Thursday, Ghosts aired a new episode on CBS after a week off and posted a 0.6 rating with 5.6 million total viewers. That show has been renewed for a second season. Over on The CW, Legacies improved to a 0.09 score with 434K total viewers as it is still waiting for word on a fifth season renewal.
On Tuesday, The Flash picked up speed to a 0.15 rating with 635K total viewers while Kung Fu remained at a 0.07 score with 480K total viewers. Both of those shows have already been renewed.
