The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman are currently waiting to hear if they will be renewed for the 2022-23 season, and the writers are encouraging fans to step up and show their support. Usually, a renewal announcement for these two would be pretty much a sure thing because The CW has typically renewed all of its shows that have made past their first year and have not announced their final season in advance. But a sale of the network is currently in the works, so only a few shows have been renewed so far. I believe that Legends of Tomorrow still has a decent chance of retuning for another season, but Batwoman is more of a toss-up (more on that at this link).
The writers of both shows have decided to help push for renewal and they are encouraging fans to to get involved with efforts to keep these two Arrow-verse entries going. The Legends of Tomorrow writers are planning a Twitter campaign this coming week to get the show trending.

The Batwoman writers engaged the fans on Twitter last week when the third season arrived on HBO Max for its encore run. They are encouraging people to watch the show there to prove that it has a strong audience and I expect that they will continue to engage the fans in the coming weeks.

Watch parties on The CW’s website or app or the streaming service where their current seasons are available (Netflix for Legends of Tomorrow and HBO Max for Batwoman) are definitely a good idea because that viewership is tracked without the Nielsen filter. It could be that both of these shows are on track for renewal anyway, but a push from the fans can definitely help, especially if the network execs are currently wavering on one or both shows. And with the writers helping to push this, that should bring plenty of attention to the renewal campaign. Now is the time to step up as we head to the end of the season, and perhaps those efforts will allow both shows to stick around for another season and possibly more.
