On Sunday, AMC’s The Walking Dead slipped to a 0.41 rating based on same-day viewing for the 18-49 demographic with 1.6 million total viewers. That marks a new low-point for the series as the Walking Dexit continues with this one winding down its eleven season run. But AMC has the Tales of the Walking Dead spin-off set for Summer as well as a Daryl and Carol show in the works, so this franchise is not dead yet.
On Thursday, Ghosts returned after several weeks in repeats and pulled a 0.55 rating with 5.8 million total viewers. That is slightly down from its season-to-date average but the show has already been renewed for a second season by CBS. Over on The CW, Legacies returned from its Winter hiatus and posted a 0.07 rating with 288K total viewers. I’m thinking that one could be back for a fifth and possibly final season.
On Wednesday, both Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman were back after a couple of weeks of repeats. The former saw its numbers drop to a 0.08 rating with 433K total viewers while the latter held at a 0.11 score with 408K total viewers. I still like LoT returning for at least one more season, but Batwoman is in the toss up category with new owners possibly moving in.
Over on Syfy, Resident Alien held at a 0.11 rating with 898K total viewers. Its numbers have been on the lower side the last couple of weeks, but I still like its chances for a third season renewal. Astrid & Lilly Save the World ticked up to a 0.05 rating with 246K total viewers, but that one definitely needs some help from its fans to have any chance of seeing a second season.
On Tuesday, Superman & Lois and Naomi resumed new episodes on The CW. The former series had a 0.16 rating with 791K total viewers and appears to be on track for a third season renewal. The latter had a 0.09 score with 479K total viewers and could still stick around for a second year. Over on TNT on Monday, Snowpiercer improved slightly to a 0.15 rating with 661K total viewers. That show has already been renewed for a fourth season.
