Ratings Results of Interest:

On Syfy on Tuesday, Chucky slipped to a 0.20 rating with 517 total viewers (including its simulcast on USA), its lowest numbers yet. But NBCUniversal has an ownership stake in the show, and it is probably still doing well enough to get a second season nod.  As expected, NBC’s La Brea rebounded this past Tuesday after taking a hit in the ratings last week going up against the World Series. The show pulled a 0.58 rating based on same-day viewing for the 18-49 demographic with 4.7 million total viewers on Tuesday, and it was the second highest rated scripted show for the evening. Currently, it appears to be on track for a second season renewal. Over  On Monday on The CW, 4400 slipped a tick to a 0.07 score with 354 total viewers. But it airs on the network that prefers to renew shows rather than cancel them, so it should probably be okay. The full ratings for the week will be available in the Tuesday Sci Fi TV Update post.

Digital Ratings:

It was yet another slow week in the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 for genre entries. Netflix’s Lucifer remained at the Number 10 slot for the week of November 11th to 17th as the viewership for its sixth and final season is tapering off. Another Life had its second season premiere on Netflix that week but did not place in the Top 10. I currently have that one On the Bubble. Black Widow remained at Number 1 for Disney+ in the Top 10 for movies, and The Nightmare Before Christmas crept into the rankings that week at Number 8. Following are all the sci fi and fantasy entries on the streaming charts for the week (the number in parenthesis is the prior week rank):

Digital Ratings for the Week of Oct-11 to Oct-17

Sci Fi TV News of Note:

Actor Dean Stockwell passed away this week at the age of 85. He is well-remembered by sci fi fans as the co-lead next to Scott Bakula on Quantum Leap which ran for five season on NBC in the ’90s. He also had the recurring role as Brother Cavil on the Battlestar: Galactica reboot . . . The short-lived ’60s British series The Champions will be getting a big screen reboot starring Ben Stiller and Cate Blanchett. The original series followed three people rescued by an advanced civilization secretly living in Tibet who are given superpowers and told to use those powers to become “champions of law, order, and justice” . . . The Netflix original Korean-language film Time to Hunt will be getting an English-language reboot. That dystopian film takes place in a near-future Korea where young people must resort to criminal activity to survive.
