Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Shows Premiering This Week
Two more genre entries have thier premieres on the linear channels as the Fall 2021 season continues to ramp up.
Ghosts (Premieres on CBS October 7th): Samantha and Jay throw caution to the wind when they convert their recently inherited country estate into a bed-and-breakfast. Call it mislaid plans. Not only is the place falling apart, but it’s also inhabited by spirits of previous residents — whom only Samantha can see and hear. Ghosts spins the funny, heartfelt story about a newfound dream that reveals connection and self-discovery aren’t just for the living. This show will have its one-hour premiere of Thursday.
Nancy Drew (Season 3 Premieres on The CW October 8th): Nancy Drew (Kennedy McMann) is a brilliant teenaged detective whose sense of self had come from solving mysteries in her hometown of Horseshoe Bay, Maine – until her mother’s untimely death derails Nancy’s college plans. This show returns for its third season on Friday.
Schedule Notes:
Four shows will be wrapping up their seasons this week. On Wednesday, Riverdale has its Season 5 finale on The CW. That one will be returning in 2022 with its sixth season. Also on Wednesday, the Season 1 finale for What If . . . ? will be available for streaming on Disney+. That show has been renewed for a second season. On Thursday The Outpost will have its series finale as it has been cancelled by The CW. On Sunday, The Walking Dead will wrap up the first eight-episode segment of its eleventh and final season. The second round of episodes will arrive in 2022. The CW’s encore run of Wellington Paranormal (which covered the show’s first two seasons) has wrapped up now that the regular season is starting. That show has been renewed through its fourth season in its home country of New Zealand and it could return to The CW’s schedule in Summer 2022. “What If (Disney+) Wednesday New Ep” this weeks episode is the season

Thanks for the heads up. Thought What If had ten eps in its first season, but looks like it is capping off with nine.
