Sci Fi TV Listings for the Week of May 3rd: Star Wars the Bad Batch Premieres on Disney+

Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.

Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Shows Premiering This Week

Two shows join the schedule this week as Disney+’s new Star Wars animated series has its premiere on Tuesday and Netflix’s new superhero etnry Jupiter’s Legacy has its bow on Friday.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch (Disney+): The series follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in “The Clone Wars”) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army—each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew. The seventy-minute premiere will release on Tuesday, and the show will release one episode per week after that.

Jupiter’s Legacy (Netflix): They’re the first generation of superheroes. But as they pass the torch to their children, tensions are rising — and the old rules no longer apply. This series premieres on Friday with all episodes available for viewing that day.

Other Schedule Notes

Amazon’s Invincible wrapped up its first season last week and Shudder’s Creepshow wrapped up its second. Both shows have been renewed. The CW has no preemptions or repeats this week for the first time in a while, though the return of Riverdale for the second half of its fifth season has been pushed to August 11th (watch for the Summer schedule which will be posted son). 1. You’ve missed one Johnny. “Jupiter’s Legacy” 7th May (Netflix)

“The first generation of superheroes has kept the world safe for nearly a century. Now their children must live up to their legacy in an epic drama that spans decades and navigates the dynamics of family, power and loyalty”

      1. Happy to help. Oh BTW the reviews are in in for “Intergalactic” – not good. Currently 17% audience score on RT and 3.5 on IMDB.

The Telegraph amusingly summed it up with “in space no one can hear you yawn”. I think I’ll just watch Blakes 7 again.
