Disney+’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier improved its standing in the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 with its second episode as it grabbed the Number 1 slot for the week of March 22nd to 28th. The MCU series had an estimated 628 million minutes of viewing for the week, up from the 495 million it had for its premiere. Also entering the Top 10 was Netflix’s supernatural drama The Irregulars which debuted at the Number 2 slot with 424 million minutes of viewing. And Hulu had its first original series enter the Top 10 as Solar Opposites grabbed the Number 10 slot for its premiere week with 196 million minutes of viewing. Dropping out was Disney+’s WandaVision which slipped out of the Top 10 three weeks after it wrapped up its nine-episode run. The Invincibles has its premiere on Amazon that week and DOTA: Dragon’s Blood had its premiere on Netflix, but neither made it into the Top 10. In the rankings for acquired series, Supernatural slipped one slot from last week to Number 8 with 343 million minutes of viewing for its encore run on Netflix. The Nielsen Streaming Ratings rank the shows/movies on Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, and Hulu based on the number of minutes watched during the week by U.S. viewers on television sets (mobile devices are not included at this point). The numbers are extrapolated based on the Nielsen sampling of families who have meters monitoring their viewing habits. Also note, shows with more episodes available will tend to have a higher number of minutes watched.
