Netflix’s horror series The Haunting of Bly Manor topped the Nielsen Streaming Top 10 for the week of October 12th to 18th after entering the chart at the Number 2 slot the prior week. That series, which is a follow up to The Haunting of Hill House, was watched an estimated 1.82 billion minutes during the week. The 100 improved to Number 3 for the week after entering the chart last week at Number 8. The final season of that series just became available for streaming on Netflix after it wrapped up its linear run on The CW. The high streaming numbers for the show could give a boost to the prequel series that the network is currently considering adding to the schedule. Dropping out was Amazon’s The Boys after a six-week run that began with the premiere of the show’s second season.
The Nielsen Streaming Ratings rank the shows/movies on Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, and Hulu based on the number of minutes watched during the week by U.S. viewers. The numbers are extrapolated based on the Nielsen sampling of families who have meters monitoring their viewing habits. Following are the genre shows in the Top 10 for the Week of Oct 12-18 which includes the estimated minutes viewed (the prior week rank is in parenthesis).
