Netflix’s Lucifer remained in the Number 1 spot on the Nielsen Streaming Ratings Top 10 for the week of August 24th to 30th. That show improved on its total minutes viewed from last week when it had its fifth season debut. Legend of Korra slipped two slots to Number 4 as the encore run of that animated series continues to draw strong viewership. The Umbrella Academy slipped two slots to Number 5 and Netflix’s superhero film Project Power slipped out of the Top 10 after appearing there for the past two weeks.
The Nielsen Streaming Ratings rank the shows/movies on Netflix and Amazon based on the number of minutes watched during the week by U.S. viewers. The numbers are extrapolated based on the Nielsen sampling of families who have meters monitoring their viewing habits. Following are the genre shows in the Top 10 for the Week of Aug 24-30 which includes the estimated minutes viewed (the prior week rank is in parenthesis).
1 (1) Lucifer, 2.01 billion minutes
4 (2) The Legend of Korra, 808 million
5 (3) The Umbrella Academy, 758 million
