Sci Fi TV Listings for the Week of August 17th: Premieres for Lucifer Season 5 and Dead Pixels, Finale for NOS4A2

Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.

The final two premieres of the Summer season arrive this week, unless Netflix drops another one on us unexpectedly before the end of August which is always a possibility. On Tuesday, the British gamer series Dead Pixels starts its U.S. premiere on The CW. And then on Friday, the highly-anticipated fifth season of Lucifer has its premiere on Netflix. All episodes will be available for streaming that day. Also this week, the Season 2 finale for NOS4A2 airs on AMC on Sunday. There is no word at this point on a third season for that show. The Fall season is just around the corner and you can see the schedule of upcoming sci fi and fantasy shows at this link.

Schedule Notes: If a show is listed as On Hiatus, that means that it is taking a break of more than two episodes in a row. If a streaming series is included in the listings after its premiere date, then it releases new episodes once per week on that day as opposed to releasing its entire season at one time.
