Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
Two shows will be joining the Summer schedule this week and two will be departing. On Friday, the fourth and final season of Netflix’s Brazilian dystopian series 3% will have its debut. All episodes will be available that day. Then on Sunday, the supernatural drama Lovecraft Country will have its series premiere on HBO at 9 PM EST. Wrapping up this week, The CW’s Stargirl will have its season finale on Tuesday. That show has been renewed for a second season which will air exclusively on The CW (as the DC Universe streaming service appears to be ready to bow out). Then on Wednesday, ABC’s Agents of SHIELD will wrap up its seven-season run with a two-hour series finale. There are only a few more weeks left in the 2019-20 season, but more shows are on the way. Schedule Notes: If a show is listed as On Hiatus, that means that it is taking a break of more than two episodes in a row. If a streaming series is included in the listings after its premiere date, then it releases new episodes once per week on that day as opposed to releasing its entire season at one time.
