Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
The streaming services continue to be the primary source of sci fi and fantasy television this Summer, and two more shows join the schedule this week. On Thursday, the animated comedy series Star Trek: Lower Decks has its debut on CBS All Access. The show will release one episode per week. Also on Thursday, Netflix’s pandemic series The Rain will have its Season 3 debut. All episodes will be available for streaming that day and this will serve as the final season for the show. Also on Thursday (busy day this week), Doom Patrol will have its Season 2 finale. We are still waiting to hear word on whether that one will return for a third season on HBO Max. There are still more shows on the way this Summer and you can see the full schedule at this link.

Schedule Notes: If a show is listed as On Hiatus, that means that it is taking a break of more than two episodes in a row. If a streaming series is included in the listings after its premiere date, then it releases new episodes once per week on that day as opposed to releasing its entire season at one time.
