Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
This week sees three sci fi and fantasy shows joining the schedule. On Thursday, Freeform’s supernatural drama Siren returns for its third season at 8 PM EST. Then on Friday, Amazon’s new anthology series Tales from the Loop has its premiere on Prime Video with all episodes available to stream that day (see trailer below). Also on Friday, the third and final season of Hulu’s Future Man will have its debut. That show will release one episode per week.
This week will also see some changes to the previously announced schedule due to production delays related to the Coronavirus. AMC’s The Walking Dead will air its fifteenth and now final episode of its tenth season on Sunday. The planned season finale will air as a special episode later in the year. Last week’s episode of The CW’s Supernatural will be its last of the season. Seven more episodes are still on the way, with two that have not filmed yet, and they will air later in the year. Most of the rest of The CW’s shows will be going through a rotation of reruns and new episodes to space out the remaining completed episodes through the rest of the season, and most will not have a proper season finale. The episodes that were not completed will air next year. Shows like Manifest, Westworld, Outlander, and Legends Tomorrow will be able to complete their seasons because all episodes were filmed before the production shutdowns.
CBS’ MacGyver will also see its episode count cut short, but those episodes should be carried into next season. AMC’s The Walking Dead: World Beyond has had its premiere delayed (originally planned for April 12th) to Summer or Fall. Upcoming shows like The 100 (The CW), Snowpiercer (TNT), and Fear the Walking Dead (AMC) could also see their premieres delayed due to the shutdowns. You can see the current schedule of sci fi and fantasy shows at this link, but note that all premiere dates are subject to change due to the shutdowns.

Schedule Notes: If a show is listed as On Hiatus, that means that it is taking a break of more than two episodes in a row. If a streaming series is included in the listings after its premiere date, then it releases new episodes once per week on that day as opposed to releasing its entire season at one time.
