Series Profile: Star Wars The Clone Wars Gets Its Conclusion with S7 on Disney+

What Is It?

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is an animated series that follows the adventures of Anakyn Skywalker and his Padawan Ahsoka and takes place between the events of Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. It aired for five seasons on the Cartoon Network (plus a sixth season of bonus episodes on Netflix), but never had a proper conclusion because it was cancelled at the time of the Disney buyout of the Star Wars franchise. But the Mouse House decided to do a final season that will run on the Disney+ streaming service. Following is the official description for the final season:

From Dave Filoni, director and executive producer of “The Mandalorian,” the new Clone Wars episodes will continue the storylines introduced in the original series, exploring the events leading up to Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
