Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
This week brings only one genre addition to the Fall schedule, but it is a rather highly-anticipated entry. The joint HBO / BBC adaptation of His Dark Materials, based on the epic fantasy books by Philip Pullman, has its debut at 9 PM EST on Monday (see trailer below). Apart from that, it is business as usual for the week, but business is good with over two dozen sci fi and fantasy shows to choose from over the week. And there are still more premieres on the way this Fall. You can see the full schedule of sci fi and fantasy shows at this link.

Schedule Notes: If a show is listed as On Hiatus, that means that it is taking a break of more than two episodes in a row. If a streaming series is included in the listings after its premiere date, then it releases new episodes once per week on that day as opposed to releasing its entire season at one time.
