The 2018-19 season wraps up this week and quite a number of shows were cancelled this past year with several more currently facing uncertain fates. Now is the time for you to make your voice heard and cast your vote for the show that you believe most deserves to continue, whether it has already been cancelled or has yet to be renewed. The poll below has all of the shows that were cancelled this past year plus those that are still waiting for an announcement.
I will be sharing these results with the networks and they have shown a willingness to pay attention to numbers beyond what Nielsen reports these days (even the streaming services can be swayed by the voices of the fans). Lucifer and The Expanse were saved by Netflix and Amazon respectively last season and it’s possible that some of this year’s struggling or cancelled shows could elude the Network Executioner as well if their fans are active and engaged. The OA ended with 67,839 votes and Shadowhunters ended with 62,047 votes. It’s not about which show received the most votes, it is about the amazing outpouring of support for both of these shows. The fans have proven their dedication, and now it is time for the networks to step up and do the right thing, As for the other shows, note that the fans of The OA and Shadowhunters took control of this poll early and circulated it widely among their social media networks. Thus showing the power of utilizing social media to spread your message and support your favorite shows. Keep this in mind for the next poll that we put up.
