Coming as no surprise, Hulu has handed a second season renewal to its horror anthology series Into the Dark. There were rumors floating around earlier in the Summer that the show would be returning for a second season, and now that has been confirmed. The series, which is a co-production with Blumhouse TV, puts out one feature-length episode per month centered around a holiday or time-of-year appropriate theme, and has thus far proven quite popular with critics and fans. Hulu has not shared the viewing numbers for the show–as is typical of the streaming services–but apparently it has done well enough to justify a second season. Twelve installments were originally ordered for the show’s first year and then that was extended to fifteen according to Vulture.com. Nine movies have been ordered for the second season which will keep the show running to at least September 2020.
