Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
This week brings one more Summer premiere along with two shows wrapping up their seasons. On Thursday, Two Sentence Horror Stories, based on the viral fan fiction, has its debut on The CW (see trailer below). That one will air double episodes throughout its first season run. On Tuesday, The CW’s The 100 wraps up its sixth season and that one will be returning for a seventh year in 2020. Also on that night, CBS’ Blood and Treasure has its first season final (it has been renewed for a second season). On Sunday, AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead returns from its brief hiatus and it will be preceded by a preview special for the tenth season of The Walking Dead. Schedule Notes: If a show is listed as On Hiatus, that means that it is taking a break of more than two episodes in a row. If a streaming series is included in the listings after its premiere date, then it releases new episodes once per week on that day as opposed to releasing its entire season at one time.
