Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
With the holiday week, you would not expect much in the way of schedule announcements, but Netflix decided that July 4th is the perfect time to launch the third season of its retro-sci fi series Stranger Things (see trailer below). That one bows on the streamer on Thursday with all eight Season 3 episodes available that day. On Tuesday, DCU’s animated superhero entry Young Justice resumes its third season with with three episodes available that day. It will then go back to releasing one ep per week for through the rest of the season. The holiday also brings the expected preemptions and repeats with several shows taking a break this week. But there is more sci fi and fantasy on the way in July and you can see the full schedule at this link.
