Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
With five sci fi / fantasy shows premiering this week, I’m going to count this as the beginning of the Summer season. On Wednesday, NBC’s paranormal procedural The InBetween has its series debut. Then on Friday, the highly anticipated adaptation of the apocalyptic novel Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman debuts on Prime Video (see trailer below) with all six episodes available for streaming that day. Also on Friday, DC Universe’s live-action Swamp Thing, based on the comic of the same name, has its debut. The first episode will be available Friday with subsequent installments released each week on that day. And at the end of the week, AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead returns for its fifth season, which will bring yet another TWD character to the spin-off series, followed by the premiere of the supernatural drama NOS4A2 (read: Nosferatu) which is based on the Joe Hill novel of the same name. Wrapping up this week is Syfy’s Happy! which has its season finale on Wednesday and the CBS All Access reboot of The Twilight Zone which has its season finale on Friday.
