Hulu has give a third season renewal to the MCU series Marvel’s Runaways. That series has received high marks from fans and critics and word is that it has performed well for Hulu, though like most of the streaming services it does not typically share its viewership stats. Series showrunners/writers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage had this to say about the renewal:
We are so excited to tell more Runaways stories and are so grateful to Marvel, Hulu, our amazing cast and crew and of course our passionate audience. Season three will be a magical time on Runaways, as we deepen our connection to the Marvel universe. We are honored to continue to play in the sandbox created by Brian K Vaughn and Adrian Alphona.
According to Deadline Hollywood, the upcoming season will place more focus on the kids and will reduce the presence of the adult actors. This third season will consist of ten episodes, which is three less than the second but on par with the first. It will debut later this year or early 2020.
Marvel’s Runaways follows six teenagers with superpowers who must unite against their parents who are part of the nefarious organization known as the Pride and who eventually find themselves on the run. It stars Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin, Allegra Acosta, and James Marsters and is based on the Marvel comic of the same name.
