The Fall season has pretty much wrapped up at this point, but there are still a few things of interest for sci fi and fantasy fans to watch this week on television. The biggest event of the week is the two-hour series finale for last season’s cancelled Timeless which airs Thursday starting at 8 PM EST. Here is the synopsis for that:
Christmas arrives in the Bunker, and the Time Team is inspired by a visit from their future selves to find a way to try to save Rufus. But when the Mothership jumps to 1848 California, they’re forced to put those plans on hold and chase Rittenhouse.
On Friday, Hulu’s Marvel series Runaways returns for its second season. Unlike the show’s first season which released one episode a week, all thirteen of the Season 2 episodes will be available for streaming on that day. Also this week, Nat Geo’s Mars wraps up its second season on Monday. Also, DCU’s Titans had an eleventh episode stashed away, so this week is the season finale not last as previously reported. Apart from that, there are only a handful of shows airing new episodes this week (note that Midnight, Texas shifts to 8 PM EST on Friday). But believe it or not, Mid-Season is almost here and two shows get an early jump on the second half of the season next week with Netflix’s Black Mirror having its Season 5 premiere on Friday and The Orville kicking off its second season on Sunday. Schedule Notes: If a show is listed as On Hiatus, that means that it is taking a break of more than two episodes in a row. If a streaming series is included in the listings after its premiere date, then it releases new episodes once per week on that day as opposed to releasing its entire season at one time.
You have the time wrong for the Timeless 2 hour event. It airs Thursday 12/20 on NBC from 8-10 pm. If you could change it, that would be great. We need all the help we can get promoting it since NBC isn’t.
