Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.
It’s another big week of premieres as the Fall season is in overdrive at this point. Starting on Tuesday, The CW shows make their way back to the schedule with the Season 5 premiere of The Flash followed by the Season 2 premiere of Black Lightning. On Wednesday, The CW’s dark take on the Archie comics Riverdale returns for its third season. On Thursday, Supernatural kicks off its record-busting 14th season. On Friday, the DC Universe streaming channel’s first series Titans has its debut. That show will release one episode a week. Over on Netflix, the horror series The Haunting of Hill House has its premiere. All ten episodes will be available for streaming.
On Sunday, Supergirl is back for its fourth season as The CW adds that night to its programming schedule. In the lead-out hour, that network’s reboot of Charmed gets its series premiere. On Saturday, Syfy airs the original movie Karma. Following is the description of that one:
When recent college grad Manny has trouble making ends meet, his father-in-law offers him a job evicting delinquent tenants. Manny soon finds himself unleashing a karma demon which stalks him at every turn.
Next week, the premieres will slow down with only two that I see on the schedule at the moment. But there are plenty of sci fi and fantasy shows for the season and you can see the full schedule at this link.
