The supernatural drama Impulse has received a second season renewal, a series that has slipped mostly under the radar yet has still managed to find an audience. That is one of the original offerings from YouTube Premium and it debuted on in June. According to the streaming service, the pilot has drawn close to eight million viewers so far. That first episode is available to view for free on YouTube at this link, and the rest of the first season’s ten episodes are available with a subscription to the service. The second season will consists of ten episodes and will likely bow at some point in 2019.
Following is the official synopsis of the series: “When Cleo’s boyfriend, Thomas, decides to sell Henry’s car, Henry enlists the help of high school basketball star, Clay Boone, to steal it back. But when Henry experiences inexplicable seizures, things quickly escalate beyond her control.” It is based on the novel of the same name by Steven Gould and stars Maddie Hasson, Sarah Desjardins, Enuka Okuma, and Craig Arnold
This is like the movie Jumper, but more focused on characters than action for those interested.
