Ratings Results of Interest: There were still not too many shows with new episodes this week due to the Olympics, but there was some ratings activity of interest to report on. On Monday, Star Wars: Rebels returned from its hiatus with back-to-back episodes and pulled a 0.13 rating based on same day viewing for the 18-49 demographic and 345K total viewers. And while those are not great numbers, that is a season high for the show. It will continue to double-up on episodes through its March 5th series finale. Over on The CW, Legends of Tomorrow held steady with a 0.5 rating and 1.4 million total viewers. That one is pretty much assured of coming back for a fourth season.
On Tuesday, ABC aired a new episode of Kevin (Probably) Saves the World which slipped to a season low 0.4 rating with 1.9 million total viewers. The fact that the network aired that against the Olympics with a pretty weak lead-in suggests that they are burning off episodes before its eventual cancellation. On Wednesday on Syfy, The Magicians slipped to a 0.23 rating with 636K total viewers and Channel Zero slipped to a 0.09 rating with 282K total viewers. The former series still looks like a lock for renewal while the latter has already been picked up through its fourth season.
The schedule starts to get busy again starting on Sunday when The Walking Dead returns from hiatus and Ash vs. Evil Dead has its Season 3 debut (you can keep up with the weekly listings at this link).
