Netflix announced today that is has renewed its new supernatural series Dark for a second season. That series is produced in Germany but has English subtitles for its run in the states. It debuted on December 1st, and while Netflix does not share the viewership numbers, they have said that it is one of “the most-watched entirely non-English shows” streaming on its global service. The first season consisted of ten episodes and the second season should have around the same number. Expect the show to return late 2018 or early 2019.
Dark centers around the disappearance of two young children in a German town that leads to dark revelations about four families living in the vicinity. It stars Louis Hofmann, Oliver Masucci, Jördis Triebel, and Maja Schöne.
