The last week of June is definitely an action-packed one for sci fi and fantasy television with three (plus) premieres and two season finales. On Wednesday, Australian import Cleverman returns to Sundance for its second season. On Thursday, CBS animal-pocalypse entry Zoo has its third season bow. And on Friday, Syfy’s Killjoys is back for its third season, giving that network a three-hour block of scripted programming on that night which also includes Dark Matter and Wynonna Earp. Also, on Monday AMC’s Preacher has its timeslot premiere, having had its Season 2 bow the night before on Sunday after Fear the Walking Dead. In addition, The Shannara Chronicles starts up an encore run of its first season after The Mist on Thursdays as it preps for its second season premiere this Fall on Spike (it has moved over from Viacom partner MTV). As for the season finales, The CW’s iZombie wraps up its third season (with a fourth on the way in 2018) on Thursday. And Doctor Who has a one and half hour season finale on Saturday night.
