Unless otherwise noted, the ratings numbers below are based on the final overnights and may vary slightly from the preliminaries reported on the Cancelled Sci Fi Twitter Site.
Ratings Delays: The ratings results have been all out of whack due to the Thanksgiving holiday (apparently the Nielsen people had one heck of a tryptophan hangover!), and the Sunday cable numbers are still not available even Monday and Tuesday results have been posted. So instead of holding this up any further, and am going to post what I have through Saturday and will get the Sunday cable numbers up when available. [Update: Sunday cable numbers are now available in the update section below]
Ratings Results of Interest: Last Wednesday, IFC’s Stan Against Evil wrapped up its short, eight-episode first season with its highest ratings yet, pulling a 0.09 score based on the overnights for the 18-49 demographic with 230k total viewers. Those are apparently good numbers for that network and I expect this show to return for a second season. On Friday, Syfy’s Z Nation improved to a 0.29 rating with one million total viewers, its best numbers since the season began. That show was renewed for a fourth season earlier this week. On Saturday, BBC America’s Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency improved slightly to a 0.08 rating with 440k total viewers. That show has been renewed for a second season. On Sunday, Once Upon A Time pulled a 1.0 rating with 3.3 million total viewers (based on the preliminaries) as that show’s numbers remain down in its sixth. I expect at some point that ABC will announce this season or next as its last. I previously covered the Monday and Tuesday ratings at this link.
Sunday Cable Ratings Update: The Walking Dexit continues as TWD slipped to a four year low of a 4.9 rating based on the overnights for the 18-49 demographic with 10.4 million total viewers. That show is still the top-rated scripted show on television, though, and in no danger of cancellation anytime soon. Westworld improved to a season high 1.0 rating with 2.1 million total viewers which has to be encouraging to HBO as they have renewed that rather costly series for a second season. And on TNT, The Librarians held mostly steady at a 0.52 rating with 1.6 million total viewers and that show looks like to get a fourth season renewal.

Chart Activity: The Walking Dead improved to Number 2 (up from Number 4) in the Weekly Social Net Rating Top 10. And it remained at Number 1 in the cable Top 25 based on the overnights for the 18-49 demographic, but it was bumped to Number 2 in the chart based on total viewers by Monday Night Football. Westworld managed to make it into the cable Top 25 based on the demo for the first time this season at the Number 12 slot. MacGyver slipped out of the broadcast net Top 25 based on total viewers because its was preempted last Friday.

Metric Definitions:
Series: (R) indicates a repeat airing
Rating: Overnight rating in the 18-49 demographic for same day viewing based on the final numbers unless otherwise noted
% Chng: The percentage change +/- for this week’s rating vs. last week’s rating (if a new episode aired last week).
Tot Viewers: Estimated total viewers (age 2+) to tune in to the episode for same day viewing.
StD Rating: Season to date average for the rating metric tracked above.
Net Bench (Network Benchmark): For the broadcast networks, this is the net’s season to date average rating based on the overnights for the 18-49 demographic for non-sports, non-special, non-repeat broadcasts. For the cable channels, this is the lowest level at which a show is typically renewed by that network if there are enough genre entries on that channel to provide a decent sample.
Cancellation Alert: My prediction of the likelihood that a show will get cancelled. From least to most likely the statuses are Low, Moderate, Medium, Elevated, and High.
