I’m on a travel week, so no extended analysis for this post, but the full ratings roundup is below. There have been no major developments since last week as the DST Effect and ratings slump continue to drive down the numbers. Despite this, the renewal fever continues and the latest beneficiary of that is FOX’s The Last Man on Earth as it received a third season pickup. I will be introducing the new, streamlined ratings roundup format next week as we head into the Spring season (you can see the schedule at this link). This one remained down, but in line with what we are seeing from the DST Effect and the current ratings slump. And it has been renewed for a third season

The show’s season to date numbers are still above the average for CBS, but its actuals have been well below the average the last few weeks. But I still believe that the current renewal fever will keep this one going into a second season.

It held steadily low, but I still believe it has a decent chance of surviving due to the renewal fever currently infecting the broadcast nets. Plus, FOX has extra space to fill on its schedule seeing as American Idol will not be returning next season.

It saw a nice improvement in its numbers after several weeks at season lows. But then what does CBS turnaround and do to it? The preempted it this week, which will almost certainly cause the numbers to slide again.
Chart Activity: This show’s surge last week got it back in the broadcast network Top 25 based on total viewers based the Number 24 slot. Unfortunately, this week’s preemption means that it will likely drop back out when the numbers are tallied next week.
Arrow CW Wed 3/23 8 PM

This show returned from its three week hiatus at what I believe is tied with its series low. The CW needs to cut out that second hiatus its does to its shows every year around this time (I will look at that in more detail next week). Still, Arrow has no worries as it has been renewed for a fifth season.

It held at Number 1 in the Cable Top 25 based on the overnights for the 18-49 demographic and based on total viewers. Post-show discussion series The Talking Dead was at Number 4 and 5 on those charts respectively.
