News, updates, and (mostly viable) rumors relating to development of science fiction / fantasy television productions. If you have tips or more info on these or other productions, please pass them along in the comments.
Development announcements slowed down some over the last two weeks, but there were still a few that I tracked including two that could make major waves:
Development
Network: Adult Swim
Production Team: Genndy Tartakovsky (Creator/Writer/Executive Producer)
Status: Early Production
About: “Premiering in 2001, the acclaimed series follows a time-displaced samurai on a quest to defeating the shape-shifting demon Aku, who destroyed his father’s kingdom.” Source: CBR
Comments: Tartakovsky is onboard to produce a new season of Samurai Jack episodes which is scheduled to bow at some point on Adult Swim in 2016.

Tremors
Network: No Network Attached
Production Team: Kevin Bacon (Executive Producer), Universal Cable Productions (Production Company)
Starring: Kevin Bacon
Status: Early Development
About: This would be a continuation/sequel to the original movie and its sequels.
Comments: Kevin Bacon has said that “I’d love to do something else with Tremors and revisit the character 25 years later”. There’s no word on if any of the other characters from the movies would be involved. There was a previous Tremors TV series that aired for one season on the Sci Fi Channel in 2003. There is no word on if this would be linked with that series. Michael Gross has played the role of Burt Gummer across all of the movies and the previous TV series, but there is no word on whether he would be involved. Source: EW

Harrow County
Network: Syfy
Production Team: Becky Kirsch (Writer/Executive Producer), Universal Cable Productions (Production Company)
Status: Early Development
About: “Harrow County centers on Emmy who has always known that the deep, dark woods surrounding her home crawled with ghosts, goblins, and the restless dead. On the eve of her 18th birthday, she learns that she is connected to these creatures and to the land itself in a way she never imagined, for she is the reincarnation of a powerful witch who was put to death on the very day Emmy was born. For this reason, the townsfolk mean to kill her too. In order to survive, Emmy must embrace the unusual powers at her command.” Source: Deadline Hollywood
Comments: This is based on the Dark Horse comic of the same name created by Cullen Bunn and Tyler Crook and Syfy is likely targeting late 2016 to get the show on the air.
