Prime Time Sci Fi TV: Into the Badlands Premieres on AMC This Week, Minority Report Gets Preempted

Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.

One more Fall debut sneaks in this week as AMC’s post-apocalyptic martial arts fantasy Into the Badlands has its debut this coming Sunday after The Walking Dead.  Apart from that, it is pretty much business as usual for the week except that Once Upon A Time will double up on Sunday.  Also of note, on Monday FOX is preempting Minority Report, but only for a repeat of Bones.  MR is showing to be on the schedule the following Monday, so it doesn’t look like it is being pulled just yet (though it has been de facto cancelled with its episode order getting shortened).  But since November is a sweeps month, it’s not impossible that FOX could shift Minority Report to December to air out its final three episodes.  Keep an eye on this site and the Cancelled Sci Fi Twitter Site for more developments on that.
