Prime Time Sci Fi TV: Dominion and The Strain Have Their Finales as Agents of SHIELD, Sleepy Hollow, and More Return

Weekly roundup of science fiction and fantasy shows (as well as movies/specials of note) on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.

The Summer shows are pretty much done now as Syfy’s Dominion and FX’s The Strain will have their season finales this week (the latter has been renewed for a third season while the former is still awaiting word). But there are plenty of Fall entries stepping in to take their place as three return to the schedule this week: ABC’s Agents of SHIELD (guess the debut ratings for that one at this link), FOX’s Sleepy Hollow, and HBO’s The Leftovers. Even more premieres are coming next week as The CW’s shows start returning for the new season and you can see the full Fall schedule at this link. And for those interested, Syfy’s latest critters-run-amok entry hits on Saturday as crazed dogs wreak havoc in Night of the Wild.
