Prime Time Sci Fi TV: Sleepy Hollow and Agent Carter Have Their Finales, Some Shows Taking a Break for the Rest of February

New or notable science fiction and fantasy entries on the Prime Time TV schedule, also including programs that may be of interest to genre fans. Air dates and times subject to change without notice.

This week brings season finales for two shows: FOX’s Sleepy Hollow and ABC’s Agent Carter.  And with both struggling, this could be their series finales as well (follow Cancellation Watch to see where they stand).  And it’s that time of the season where the broadcast networks start putting many of their shows on a mid-mid-season break.  All of The CW’s genre entries except Arrow and The 100 are in repeats or are preempted this week (and Arrow will follow next week). The 100 will keep running straight through as it wraps up its current season on March 11 while the rest of that network’s shows will resume mid-March.  NBC’s Grimm is also on break and expect several shows on the other networks to disappear for a few weeks at a time as well which will almost certainly fuel the current ratings slump (more on that at this link).  Apart from that, for those interested, on Sunday Syfy is offering the disaster cheapie 10,000 Days as counter-programming to The Academy Awards and The Walking Dead.  I’m sure both of those are quaking in their boots . . . Also, on Saturday, Hallmark kicks off the ongoing series Good Witch which is a spin-off of the popular TV movies that have aired on that channel.  And one additional highlight: on Tuesday, Syfy will air The Making of Dig which looks at the upcoming conspiracy series Dig which bows on USA on March 5th.
