In last week’s tally of the charts, FX’s American Horror Story fell out of the cable Top 25 based on total viewers for the first time that I can remember as that show as seen its numbers drop since premiering in Fall. But as expected, the season finale brought it right back into the Top 25. It also continued its reign in the Nielsen Twitter Ratings Top 10 and toward the top of the General Sentiment charts that track social net activity. AHS may have slipped in popularity some during its fourth season, but it continues to perform well on the charts and should return there when it resets and returns for its fifth season in Fall. The CW’s shows all returned from their winter hiatus last month and almost all of that network’s genre entries returned to the General Sentiment charts for the broadcast nets. Slots 5 through 8 on that chart were taken up by Vampire Diaries, The 100, The Flash, and Supernatural in that order and Arrow was a little further down at 14. The only CW genre entry that missed the charts was The Originals. Expect all of the fifth place network’s shows to continue to have a strong presence on that chart through the end of the season. Note that Person of Interest and Agent Carter were preempted last week, thus the reason there is no activity for them in the charts.
