The Charts: The 100 Climbs to Number 2 Slot on General Sentiment Charts

Most of the Fall shows have wrapped up for the Winter, but a few still had new episodes running last week and making appearances in the charts.  The CW’s The 100 may have slipped in the ratings a bit with its Fall Finale, but it improved its ranking on the General Sentiment charts that track activity across the social networks.  It was at the Number 2 slot for the week, and not just because of lower competition.  Its Second Screen Score (GS definition: “an indexed measure of overall engagement from across the social web”) improved from 8,186 the prior week to 14,136 for its Fall wrap up.  So it definitely generated quite a lot of activity across the social nets for that episode.  Syfy’s Ascension also made it onto the General Sentiment charts for the week as all three nights managed to place in the Top 25.  American Horror Story and The Librarians also made their usual appearances and even CBS’ Person of Interest climbed into the GS charts for the week.  The numbers from this week should be pretty light once they are tallied next week, but I expect The Librarians to remain on the charts and the Doctor Who Christmas Special (which airs on BBC America Xmas night) to make an appearance as well.

General Sentiment tracks activity across the social networks for shows airing new episodes in Prime Time (start times between 8:00 PM and 10:55 PM EST Monday – Saturday and 7:00 PM and 10:55 PM EST on Sunday).  This data collected on seven (7) major broadcast networks and 43 cable television networks.  More info at this link.
